Well I do not agree with you, driving needs a lot of cocentration , but when learning english as second or third language we pay a lot of attention to what is said.
when learning english as a foreighn language we have to choose the right time, place and concentration is a prioroty to get the most of it.

Thanks Mr. Torsten,

I am listening English from almost last 2-3 years daily but still I find myself miles away from fluency on that. So, kindly tell me the next step what should I do, although i do not understand each word they say may be becuase of vocabulary or pronunciation.

So, suggest me some more as you might have understand I'm very eager to get fluency from such a long time.

Good morning Mukesh. I'm pretty certain that there are many of your countrymen who have a good grasp of the English language.

Are you not able to have them help you improve?

Kitos.

Hi Torsten,

It is very interesting and useful Challenge. Consider me in the list of this test, but I just want to know how I can access to the authentic English audios in the forum to downloud them in MP3. I tried to use the listening lessons in the previous emails but I got lost.

Thanks Mr. Kitos,

There are lot of guys who speak well english in my surroundings but you know the hesitation and lack of time to meet them resist me to learn from them.

And a very strange thing which i would like to share with you, that I have heard we should always try to think in English, but could you tell me if someone doesn't know English well how will he think in English.

I want to improve my writing and speaking skills in English so, if I make any mistake kindly correct me.

Regards

Mukesh, India

Hi,
Mr. Kito,
you know I have lot of query or question, I don't know what should I say. But I have so many.
And sometime I get confused that which form is correct, whether I should say this or that, may be because of lack of knowledge or confidence I don't know.

And I am asking you without any hesitation, may be because you are the teacher who will guide me correctly.

Thanks

Mukesh

Hi Torsten,
I think it's good idea to listen to english everyday. I started to do it 2 years ago and my english got better quite a lot. I've improved my listening , grammar and vocabulary, but my speaking and writing is still poor. could you, please, correct my mistakes, if I make any?
Well, let's move on. I'll try to talk about story i've been listening to last time. It was a short story called Another Bakery attack written by Haruki Murakami. The m ain chracter is the married couple which want to attack bakery and steal a bread. i can't explain exactly why. the story was a little strange like most of murakami's books. i think it's worth reading some.

Hi everybody!
I haven't read all the texts but I must say that listening to English dosen't help if you are to old or if you have a grave hearing loss. My granny didn't learn English when the telly and the English TV series started. It goes to fast even for hearing people.

The best way to learn English is to listen to easy English and start to read easy books. After that you can start to read other books and litterature .
If you have a job the work fix so you can improve your English. There are special job-courses depending on where you work. If you work as a captain on a boat you have to learn many nautical terms for example and if you are a doctor you have to learn many latin words. But I hope I never fall ill in an other country than Sweden.

When i am half uncounsious I just understand Swedish. If you are an English speaker there are always people in the hospital who knows English

I read about a foreigner in Sweden who fall ill and he died because no one understood him and he couldn't speak English Sad

Guys/Ladies,

It's good idea!! Thank you very much Mr.Torsten .
It takes me 1 hour to come to work and on my way to work I always listen to the music. I have two stages of this: Smile
1. first 2 days I listen to the music just enjoying the notes and trying catch up the words. I can understand 70-80% of words said.
2. Then I search the Internet and find the words of lyrics and read them.

It really helps.

Hi Torsten,

You're right there ,key to success is consistency. And I think it's applicable not only to learning English but to other things as well. I have got to do it. Apart from these methods there is another way which I found really helpful, reading books. It helps building vocabulary and increases fluency level. I have found your Audio Learning course very interesting. But unable to download MP3 files. Can you please help me out?And please do me a favor, please amend my mistakes.

Thanks a lot!
