Just how do you manage to produce this kind of sentence?

Thank you, Alan, for giving us another of your pieces to savour!

Hi Alan

TV sets being harangued at ... (non-) hoovering nurses ... near drownings ... and poor Alan forced to endure a World Cup game with such a dismal end. My sympathies. But look at the bright side. Things should be much safer for you now. :D

Please pardon my ignorance, but who the devil is Sven whathisname?

Hi Amy,

Funny old thing that I am explaining this but this guy whose full name is Sven Goran Erikson is/was the England football manager. The only reason I know this is because he's very easy to mimic and his persona is often used in comedy programmes where his Swedish accent is copied. I do a passable impression myself and my younger son and I have had lengthy chats on the phone using Svenlike voices. Oh dear, football is taking me over.

Hi Alan, thank you so much for sharing this story with us. I like your type of humour and style. The sentence above is an example of how you make your readers smile. I think if you post a story like this every day (even it were shorter), it will become very popular after a while. We could also incorporate your stories into our newsletter.

As a matter of fact, you start some type of blog.

What does everybody think?

Hi,

I like the idea of having some sort of a story blog very much. Especially if Alan writes stories as his language is so vivid.
