Hi,

I just thought it might be interesting to ask you how long you think that it takes to acquire fluency in a foreign language. Of course it depends on plenty of factors how fast you learn, but if you're really dedicated and start studying a language full-time, you can become quite fluent very soon. The question remains: how soon? I'd like to hear about your careers as learners of English, but I do also welcome comments from our native English-speakers who have learnt foreign languages.

Best regards.
