Hi Leon

The sentence refers to the fact that the cuisine that can be found in Jakarta is extremely varied. There are not only local dishes, but also specialty dishes from around the world. The word wealth is used in the sense of abundance or wide variety.

Hello,

Culinary didn't mean problem for me as it is a French word. I used to speak rather well but since I am struggling with English every word comes in my mind first in English. It is an inexplicable appearence for me because I can read and understand the most difficult text in French.

There are very similar words which or helps or makes sth more difficult because they mean something else.

Now archipel (fr.) = archipelago (Eng.) ( it iisn't difficult of course.)
Archipelago =(aki' Pelogou) = a group of islands and the sea surounding them.
