Hi Keti,

No, blue doesn't mean optimism on its own. A blue skies scenario is an expression meaning a situation when everything works out well. Blue skies means the sun is shining and when the sun is shining, everything seems better.

I want to know that when we say he take an optimistic view and talks about blue skies scenario,what are we talking about.
Does this means that he thinks positive and expect good situation to occur.

The expression is used to describe a result or an outcome that will be favourable. Another way of expressing this is to say: Looking on the bright side ...

Hi,

This expression is very much one used by politicians when they are imagining the best outcome of a situation, for example. They could be talking about how their party will do in a future election and the leader of one party could say: The blue skies scenario would be that we win enough seats so that we can hold the balance of power and decide which party we will support over important issues. That would be the very best result for us in the coming election.
