'To overhaul' is to examine carefully, repairing where necessary: the engine was overhauled before they left.

'To refurbish' is to polish up again, to renovate: the hotel has been recently refurbished.

Hi,

Overhall (CN, UN): an examination of any machines.. , including doing repairs on them or making change (s) to them. That is the same with any system.

Ex: The engine is due for an overhall.
I'm going to the doctor for my annual overhall. (joc)
I've taken my typewriter in for an overhall.

Refurbishment (CN, UN): The act of decorating, cleaning...sth in order to make it more useful, more pleasant to look at.

Ex: The restaurant is closed for refurbisment.

Hi everybody

Try a Google search for refurbished PCs Laughing
I know this expression well from one of the companies where I have courses.

Baraa's definition (restoring to its former good condition) seems to fit very well with regard to refurbished PCs. Very Happy

Shocked

I wasn't referring to "PCS", but rather to "PCs" (the plural form of "PC").

Computing: "PC" means "personal computer". A personal computer is a computer built around a microprocessor for use by an individual, as in an office or at home or school. Some individuals have more than one PC. In other words, some people have multiple PCs --- some of which may or may not have already been refurbished.

In this case, the "s" is extremely case sensitive. Laughing
