Hi..Neha1..
appreciating your interest and attempts to improve the English power...I would like to point out one sentence to give you my opinion..
'' I know to read book ''...this sentence is not so complete in a sense that the meaning is almost infinitive..because you can say '' I know to read a book '' or '' I know to read books '' or '' I know to read English books..''
So better consider my suggestions when you write a sentence like this...and for your information your sentences have correct simple present tenses ..ok...!
Have a nice day ...everyday..!

Thanks Mr. Micawber....
This thumb rule is a must for all of us but especially for the ones who intend to improve their language power..
Because of web chats and modern talks they inadvertently miss this ...so often..
Regards..

Thanks Mr. Mecawber...for close monitoring....
I was in a dilemma if the sentence should have a '' how.." in front of ''to read...'' same as ......" I know how to read a book..''
Please correct me...with the correct forms of that sentences....
Regards..

Yes, it needs 'how': 'I know how to read a book '' or '' I know how to read books '' or '' I know how to read English books''.
However, this is only a marginal solution to the main problem, which is that the statement itself is quite odd as a general statement. I would expect simply 'I know how to read'. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
