Hi every one.
I understood the use of "s" in present correct me if I'm wrong
He, she,It---------- we use "s" ( He plays, she drives, it swims etc.) You, We , They-------- we are not use "s" ( You play, we swim, they chat etc)
but as per my knowledge we use "s" or "es" in simple present. If is right give me some exemple.
please correct me if I'm wrong.........:. |

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
- Mukund B. Koirala Budhanilkantha School, Kathmandu
Life can be shallow and less rewarding if one lives each day of his or her life without anambition and a little thought toward contributing to the society and the nation. This seems to be an obvious statement. I grew up in the place where majority of people don’t live for their aspiration but struggle their whole life for basic necessities of life - food, cloth and shelter. Their only purpose of life remains assembling enough food for the next meal. There is misery, deprivation, hunger, plight, illiteracy and ignorance in these people, who are deprived of even the most basic education. Unlike most of my childhood friends, I feel very fortunate to be born to a high school teacher in the beautiful valley of Surkhet in mid-western Nepal. My father has always been an inspiration in my life, not just for showing me the path to have a beautiful dream, but in also making me set goals that will benefit not only me but others as well. So I envision career in teaching science and educating the people from underprivileged backgrounds to help transform their lives.
After completing ten years’ high-school level education from a government run secondary school at my own village, I started my educational voyage with a lot of dreams and aspiration in Katmandu, the capital city, Nepal. This was considered the only place for quality education in the country back then. Since I was one of top students in my batch from my home district my father couldn’t ignore my request to help me financially going to Kathmandu for my study even after knowing that it would cause a lot of financial stress to the other of the five family members. He was the only breadwinner in the family.
I have excellent educational track record in all levels. Ever since I was exposed to topics in chemistry, and more fascinatingly laboratory experiments, I have always been inclined towards a career with chemistry as its focal point. When I reached the second year of my Master’s degree, spectroscopy in chemistry had particularly drawn my interest due to the use of spectroscopy like Mass spectra, NMR spectra and Infrared spectroscopy for chemical analysis. So I decided to continue my education specializing in spectroscopy.
For me, last decade appears to be wasteful but, despite my family circumstances have been able to keep up my interest and passion alive in this field by teaching undergraduate level, attending several talk programs, seminars held in the central department of chemistry, here at Tribhuvan University. Among them Chemical Congress, an international event held in 2008 in Kathmandu organized by Nepal Chemical Society has been most significant for me as it has helped me know the recent trend in research around the world.
Ever since I realize that getting familiar with application of use modern analytical instruments in cutting edge research I have been visiting national forensic lab, research lab of RONAST, RECAST (government funded research labs) to get firsthand knowledge. My passion for graduation can never be fulfilled just by few hours of briefing. So, I started to ponder very deeply about my dream to pursue research in this area which is still impossible in our country because of the lack of instrumentation and relevant academic resources.
At the moment, I have been teaching chemistry for 10 +2 (HSEB) and A-level students (affiliated with Cambridge University) here at Budhanilkantha School. Besides ten years of teaching chemistry at different school, I have five years of experience of conducting A-level practical examination for A-level examinations of Cambridge University at this school.
While I feel I have the necessary ability and drive to successfully complete a graduate program in chemistry, it is also my desire to do so in an institution known for its academics and research. I would be proud to attend a university and at the same time believe I would be a good fit into its community. Once I attain my goal, I would like to come back to my country as a researcher. I would like to serve either as lecturer in Tribhuvan University or Kathmandu University or help upgrade and expand vertically this Budhanilkantha School where I am teaching now into a University or launch a regional campaign to establish a University in our Mid-Western Development Region where my home district lies. Having said these, I hope to be given an opportunity to attend Miami University and experience a memorable few years in the chemistry graduate program
