This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many books where you could find many examples of expressions/expressions. One way is to try and read as many newspapers which are available online to get the latest examples. I can give you one example of a well known and respected book to which you could refer when you come across a new expression in your reading and that is: BREWERS DICTIONARY OF PHRASE AND FABLE. You could buy this through the internet bookshop Amazon.
