"A round six per cent of Britain's population are from an ethnic minotity."

I read this sentence on a magazine, and I think there is a mistake regarding verb usage.

Would you please clarify it for me?

Thanks.

Hi Neto,

As to the accuracy of the content of the statement I can't comment but from a language point of view it seems all right.

What did you find wrong?

Hi Tamara,

Thanks for that - it should be around in the sense of about.

Clearly I need new glasses!

Hi Alan, could you also explain the meaning of this word "minotity", as I could not find it in a dictionary.

Thank you.
