In this sentence keeping one's job is the subject that's why we use the gerund form.

Hello,
According to http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/phrases.htm#infinitive, "to keep one's job", as an infinite phrase, can also function as a noun subject of this test sentence of Question 10. For this reason, the test answer should also include this "to keep", shouldn't it? Could you please double-check this addition "to keep"?
Thank you.
Best wishes, Bhikkhu1991a. |

You are correct Bhikku. 'to keep one's job' and 'keeping one's job' are both acceptable there. However the computer answer key cannot distinguish this. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
