Is analytical writing important at all?

I just got my score back. I did good on V and Q, V600 & Q790, but i screwed up on my analytical writing part very bad (3.5 ) . I am just wondering how important is anayltical writing, in term of getting into grad school? I heard a lot of things about V and Q sections and their importance. However, not a lot of people talk about the analytical part.

Depends on what you're majoring in. Math, comp sci, engineering, won't matter. Liberal arts with a lot of writing, you'll need to retake and improve your verbal score too.
