Here live is the subjunctive and that is why there is no s. The sentence means I hope that the King lives for a long time.

Could you please enlight me a little more about this subjunctive topic, or at least recommend me something to read about.

Present subjonctive is used in certain exckamation. God bless you! Damn you! heaven be praised! Etc.
