Do not you like ... or Do you not like..? Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:22 am  Do not you like ... or Do you not like..?

Dear Hoa Lan
I Think the first one is more suitable but it's informal so it's better that say do you dislike ( or hate) personal questions?

Hi Julia

That wording is not natural, but you can say either of these:

- Don't you like personal questions?
- Do you not like personal questions?

[quote="Sunny"]How to ask a question

In order to ask questions you need the verb "to do", a personal pronoun and the infinitive:

example: "I go." The question: "Do you go?"

"Do" --> "to do"
"you" --> the personal pronoun
"go" --> the infinitive

Do I speak English?
Do you watch TV?
Does he open the window?
Does she like rock music?
Does it cry?
Do we go to the theatre?
Do you work?
Do they read books?

do you speack english ?
im doing watching tv !!
do you have open the windows?
i doesn't like rock music ?
