Sir, My child has been instructed by his teacher to make answer for some of his exercises in English I. One of the questions is
" What do you know about your neighbours?"
Sir, I am confused to giving answer that whether this question is asking for definition of neighbours or about acquantance of neighbours.
Could you please help me sir.

First of all, you can call me by my name, there is no need for the formal "sir". I'm sure you have read Ralf's post here?
The question "What do you know about your neighbours?" can be answered like this:
They moved into our neighbourhood about 3 years ago and they are very friendly. We often have barbecues together and our kids are in the same sports club.

This one is grammatically correct but it sounds very strange without further context. What about Do we eat the right foods?
