Hi Msudan

First of all, you can call me by my name, there is no need for the formal "sir". I'm sure you have read Ralf's post here?

The question "What do you know about your neighbours?" can be answered like this:
They moved into our neighbourhood about 3 years ago and they are very friendly. We often have barbecues together and our kids are in the same sports club.

Hope this helps.

SIR, WHAT IS INFINITIVE?(CLEAR MEANING)

Hi Swathi,

Thanks a lot for your questions. Please STOP SHOUTING (using CAPITAL letters only). Also, the word "u" does not exist in English. If you really want to learn English, you should at least make the effort to type the words properly. Here are some suggestions regarding your questions.

swathi wrote:
DOES SHE GO THERE?

How often does she go there?

swathi wrote:
DO U CALL ME AS GOOD?

Do you think I'm as good as you are?

swathi wrote:
DO U PRAISE ME?

How often do you praise me?

The infinitve is the basic form of the verb, also called the base verb.

Torsten

Hi Gomez,

Many thanks for your questions. Please note that you should start every sentence with a capital letter. Here are some more suggestions:

gomez wrote:
do we eat?

This one is grammatically correct but it sounds very strange without further context. What about Do we eat the right foods?

gomez wrote:
do they dance with me?

The same here. The question is grammatically correct but it doesn't make much sense.

Hi Katya,

Thanks a lot for posting your questions which look very good. Here are some suggestions:

Katya wrote:
Does Karye loves John?

Does Karye love John?

Katya wrote:
Do I read that book?

Although this question is possible, it doesn't sound very natural. These would be better: Shall I read that book?/Am I supposed to read that book?/Am I reading that book?

Katya wrote:
Does my mom cook the diner?

Your question is grammatically correct but it doesn't sound very natural. Here is my suggestion: Does my Mom often cook dinner for us?

Katya wrote:
Do my children play a game?

This question is grammatically correct too but it doesn't sound very natural either. Here are alternatives: Do my children often play that game?/Are my children playing a game with you?

Keep up the great work!

Torsten
