Dear teachers,

Please tell me the meaning of “another time” and “in another time” in:
a.He will do it another time.
b.He will do it in another time.

Are they the same meaning?

Hi,

Do something another time suggests not now but perhaps later. In another time suggests in another period of history and so in your sentence (b) it doesn't really make sense. You need a different preposition - at another time meaning roughly the same as your (a)
