What does it mean if people of a certain profession are thought to be "curiously archaic"?

Curiously archaic? Tue Aug 22, 2006 21:35 pm  Curiously archaic?

Hi Cooliegirly

Without any context, I'd say it means 'oddly out-dated or old-fashioned.'

Hi Cooliegirly

Yes, odd or unusual.

If someone tells you, for example, that you have a "curious point of view", then they think your point of view is novel or odd or unusual.
