Hello Aszaaheer,

Welcome to the forums. Sadly there are so many phrasal verbs and idioms in existence that what you are asking for is a list that is impossible to compile.

There are articles and exercises on this site which will help with some of the most common. For example:
http://www.english-test.net/lessons/7/index.html
http://www.english-test.net/lessons/12/index.html
http://www.english-test.net/lessons/14/index.html

In addition, an internet search for 'common idioms' or 'common phrasal verbs' will bring up a wealth of reference materials.

Dear Aszaaheer, I suggest you to buy an OXFORD PHRASAL VERBS DICTIONARY. I believe it is a big deal to do that. Regards.

Hi,
To me the expression "I shrink to think" like Alan said is informal and its kind of cool to me. If this expression is not commonly used then let's make it popular as i believe that many words/expression we use today were not frequently used at some point, the more people like us use them, the more acceptance it gained and so it became a common word sort of.
I would like to encourage use to begin using these "new word" because its cool.

I daren't / I dare not
indicates something that you feel you are unable to do, because you are afraid of the consequences.

I daren't climb that ladder. It seems unsafe.
I ought to tell my boss I can't do it, but I daren't in case he thinks I am incompetent.
I dare not tell him the truth - he will be angry.
