Present perfect vs simple past #2 (permalink) Thu Aug 31, 2006 20:58 pm   Present perfect vs simple past

Hi luca

In my opinion, in both of your examples, it is posibble to use either the present perfect or the simple past tense. I'm American, so I'd probably be more likely to use the simple past tense.

As was mentioned in your previous threads, it depends on how the speaker is looking at things and also on the rest of the conversation (the rest of the context).
