Stress: I can sleep no more VERSUS I can sleep any more #1 (permalink) Fri Sep 01, 2006 2:24 am   Stress: I can sleep no more VERSUS I can sleep any more

Dear teachers,

Please read:

a. I can sleep no more.
b. I can sleep any more.

If I'd like to stress "no more" and "any more",
For (a), the stress is on “no” or “more”?
For (b), the stress is on “any” or “more”?

Thanks
Quoc

.
The second sentence is not native English.

When I speak A, I stress more slightly more.
