Hi Jupiter,
Do you want obstacles for your life :D ? "For" is a preposition used mainly for purposes. "What is the obstacle in your life?" sounds pretty much correct. _________________ If you want to change the world, be one of the change. |

Thanks for your reply. I also think that IN is much more correct, but how about FOR? What's the obstacle for your life? Does this sentence make sense?

You can use the collocation "obstacle for", but in your example it sounds very odd. It suggests either a lifelong obstacle or something used to prevent living. And of course, using the word the suggests there is only one single obstacle in life.
"for life" = forever (i.e., your entire life)
