Dear teacher,

1.On TV, I always see the program whose title is:

How’d they do that?

What does “’d” mean? ’d = did

2. Please read:

A: He's cute. What's his name? ( 's = is )
B: Well,it's a "she" really. Her name's Fluffy. ( 's = is )
A: Can I hold her?
B: Of course.
A: Ouch! Why’d she do that? ( 'd = did ) ("would" is unlikely, in my opinion.)

The contraction 'd can mean did, had or would. Which one it is depends on the context and the grammar in the rest of the sentence. In your sentence it means did. (I doubt that "would" is the meaning.)

You also forgot 's in two sentences. I inserted them.
