Hi

I would like to know if there is any difference between:

1- I want a sharp pencil.
2- I want a sharpened pencil.

I could possibly be wrong. I am not

They both mean essentially the same thing.
But "sharp" would be the more common, most used term.
One would only say "sharpened" too stress "not an unsharp pencil".
