The word deeds is usually associated with heroic actions: deeds of bravery, for example. These actions could be in a war/a dangerous situaion/ like rescuing someone from danger or a fire.

...Actions has an emphasis on behavior or conduct while acts suggests something done or performed. e.g. a charitable act.
