Blue is associated with unhappiness/sadness. In jazz the blues is where the singer is singing a song of sadness. _________________ English as a Second Language You can read my ESL story Present Simple |

Yes, blue can be used in different phrases meaning different things. A blue sky scenario is a very positive situation while a blue person is sad.

1-She hasn't worked here very long and is therefore a little green on matters of procedure.
Correct answer: (d) green
Your answer was: correct
it is correct by luck hhhhhhhhhhhhhh but actulay I don't get it can yo tell me why we use the green color?
2-As they turned round and ran away, people thought they were yellow.
Correct answer: (d) yellow and here also why we use a yellow color?
I hope you answer my questions quickly because I realy want to Know the reason.

feeling blue = feeling melancholy and sad. Have you heard othe genre of music called 'the Blues?- These pieces are meant to invoke a 'melancholy' kind of feeling and sound. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
