Next steps in the English Test Package project? #1 (permalink) Wed Sep 27, 2006 11:45 am   Next steps in the English Test Package project?

I think these are the next steps we should take:

- splitting the ESL tests into separate parts
As of now our package contains all the tests we have created so far (more than 600 tests which means more than 6000 questions). If we offer the tests in several small packages, it will be easier for customers to take a decision. They will be able to choose from list:

  • English grammar tests
  • English idiom and expression tests
  • business English and TOEIC tests
  • English synonym tests
  • all-in-one package

So, in addition to the four separate packages, it will also be possible to purchase the entire package.

- adding 2Checkout as a payment option
PayPal might be a convenient payment method but by far not every Internet use also has a PP account. Credit cards are still the number one payment method when it comes to purchasing products and services online. That's why it's vital that we give our users the opportunity to use 2Checkout in addition are rather instead of PayPal.

- creating images for the PDF files
Customers want to have the feeling of getting a tangible product even if they purchase an electronic file. We are going to create 3D graphics that resemble hard cover books.

- improving the index and navigation
By adding page numbers and an improved table of contents we will make it easier for users to navigate through the file and find a particular test faster. This is especially useful if an ESL trainer wants to print off the tests for their classroom activities
