Can a price be cheap and the temperature warm?

OK, I know I have said this often myself: If you want to learn a language you have to get exposed to as much as possible. That's how you will pick up the language naturally without thinking too much about the grammar. So far so good. However, from time to time it also makes sense to ask a question or two. I know that there is this expression "cheap price". You can buy something for an incredibly cheap price. But can a price really be cheap? Isn't it that the product is cheap and the price low?

It's a bit like "warm temperatures". I think air can be warm rather than the temperature.

Any thoughts?

Hi Torsten,

Technically you're right but then the cheapness transfers to the item for sale. There is another expression: cheap at the price conveying more the way you would like it.
