Hi,

My little funny has been cracked. Now then what about a genuine example of the longest word. Anyone ready to have a crack as to its meaning?

ANTIDISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM and you could also stick LIKE on the end if you wish.

Definitely, that 'ISM' should be something opposite to DISESTABLISHMENTARIANISM Smile

Hi!

I wonder whether that word really exists? I mean, for me it sounds double negativ: Anti_dis_establishmentarianism, doesn?t it?

You'll have to forgive my contemptuous floccinaucinihilipilification of your word, Alan, but it can't rival 'mine', I'm afraid: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (a 45-letter word supposed to refer to a lung disease). Rolling Eyes

Ah, but can you say it, Conchita? Laughing

At least antidisestablishmentarianism is pronounceable. Very Happy

An honest, humble and concise definition if there ever was one (for such a pretentiously grandiloquent thing)!
