I need help on this one.

we have i know is a present form

but been and burgled are past

so what is the tense of this sentence? Does the tense (when it has an auxiliary) always come from the regular verb?

In this situation is it a:
past perfect simple tense
or

present perfect simple tense?

Hi lyndal

The tense in the sentence above is present perfect simple in the passive voice.

Compare the two following sentences:

Present perfect in the active voice:
I have sold my car.

Present perfect in the passive voice:
My car has been sold.

To form the present perfect passive you need:
be in the present perfect form (has/have been) + the past particple (sold).
