Are you superstitious? (How do you behave on Friday 13th?)

Good day!
I have no complete opinion concerning to this question. I can`t say that I`m superstitious and can`t say that I`m not. When I was a student I payd attention who was meeting me in the institute when I was going to pass an examination. If he (or she) had kind face I was calmly that all will be OK. Now if the glad event takes place I touch wood and spit through the left shoulder three time. But it means nothing for me, I do it automatically. As a matter of fact I think that our life is in our hands and all events of our life depend on ourselves.

Yes, I am, because There are so many things in this world which are beyond our understanding, knowledge and our reach, that's why I think we have to discover so many things, I try rituals and practice superstitious activities.

Thank you very much for your email. My answer to the question on "Are you superstitious?" is "Yes, a little bit." From my expereince and knowledge, I believe that a person's fate is somewhat pre-determined and it is related to the time you were born, the name you were given, and the appearance you look. This is why we have a saying in Chinese: "Instead of leaving a fortune to your children, you'd better to give a good name to them."

On the hand, I also believe that we can do something to choose the life path that we want to live. But some people say the way you want to live your life is also part of your fate because it is your personal characteristics.

well , Maybe I've got a little bit supperstitious...since the things happened to me. That was the day when I came to my aunt's house. The house she just has builded on the land that the builder have had found some of the people bones( those things i heard after I left ) . That night , when I really tired with a busy day went to the beach, climbed to Han Mac Tu Mountain....I'm easy to fall into sleep. just a few minutes later on ...the room suddenlly shiny with a light...even the room doesn't has any windows. And I was locked the door...following the light it was a black shaddle...flied straight to me and call my name...Then he came over me and squeeze my neck so hard and harder...I've tried to use my hands to took his hands off my neck...and tried to scream...call my aunt...but I can't . Nobody heard my voice ! I tried, tried..verry hard and finally I did it.He flied away.while I take a long breaths...after that I afraid to fall in to sleep again...Then I to open my eyes just I want to see what's happening...but I didn't saw a thing.So tired, I'm felt to sleep and again the same things happened. I was scarry and run to my aunt room...with a fear....I told my aunt all things happened...My aunt didn't believed but she ok to let me sleep with her that night. So the night after, My Aunt told me : Her room so small for 3 peole, it's ok...maybe you just had a bad dream...It's sound right. And I go to that room without fear or scared. But those things happened when I felt to sleep again and again...for at least 3 times in that night...I'm so really scared....so on, I can't interpret why alot of peole have been got a such things exactly like me..???.What do you think about it and Do you ever served the things like that before ?..

My father was born in Naples no obviously I'm very supersitious. I know many things to do when you think the bad luck is near you.
First of all I'll do a short list of the thing that give bad luck:
- black cat that cross the street... bur only during friday evening
- pass below a staircase
- see a nun
- put on the bed shoes, hat and coins
- say that everything in yur life it's really ok... i have to say alway: I'm so so, I'm quite wee... never say I'M VERY WELL. Surely something of no good will happened at you...

Fortunataly to put right everything you ca:
- touch iron
- touch the ehm balls for the men and the left tit for the women
- touck wood
- throw a few sail behind your head...

I'm not superstitions but I do not put my bag on a floor. It's said that when you put your bag on a floor money from your wallet will disappear very quickly :D :D :D
In Poland we have a few superstitions, some are funny some are strange some are the same like in other countries.

I think that I'm not superstitious but there are some beliefs that I care about them, just as AgaKinga write down about putting the bag on the ground because money you have will disappear, some are really funny but some of them can make you to think more deeply. I'm from Balkan's and e.g. in these countries: we do not sleep with socks overnight - you'll struggle with bad dreams; if your left hand scratchs you will get money, but if this hand is the right one in this case you will give or lose your money; on friday's we are not cleaning the houses; on tuesday's we do not wash the clothes; we do not cut the fingernails in the night, we do not drink the water if we are standing; if in silence you hear some noise in the ear, or if your eyelid sctrachs the belief is that you will hear some good/bad news; and many of them...Sometimes I respect some of those beliefs but not always, but my mother in law does.

I'm not a kind of the person who believes much in ghost, another world, another superpower or something like that. But there are many things in my life to certain extent influencing my mind!. For example, the woman who died of rabies suddenly relived has superpower to link with another world. She has helped Vietnamese soldiers search their comrades who died in the war successfully. And there are also some other people who possess this capacity in my country. But not so many people have this ability to communicate with the world of the dead. In my country, people express superstition in many ways like consulting a fortune-tellers for advice on building houses or dates for marriage...I don't know if i will ask for a teller to determine the date for my marriage in future or not because this is decided by parents.:) Do you believe or practise superstition, Mr Torsten? i look forward to your next lesson.

What can I say...I think that I'm a little bit superstitious, but depends on how I wake up. Because I have some days when I wake up and I feel OK than I don't worry about anything. It was a few days when I exit from the house and after a few steps I realised that I forget my driving licence on the table and I didn't turn back for it...
I think that I'm superstitious semi-occasionaly.

i'm not superstitious at all. i think all of them are like story. i just read them but never scare :) Because i know that all things are natural. Now i'm in 23 and in my life i haven't seen any things like that. So there isn't any reason for scare for them :)

Hi every body, No, I’m not superstitious and I don't belive in this issue at all , a black cat ,number 13 or broken mirror or what else , I think people who belive in these things just joined them with bad accidents happened in the past , so can we count without mentioning number 13 , also can we prevent mirror from being broken or shall we kill every black cat to avoid what will be happens ..... it's only FATE ,so we must free our minds from those mythes.
