Are you superstitious? (How do you behave on Friday 13th?)

Hi Dear Torsten and everybody!
I am surprised to notice that several superstitions that there are in my country are in many other countries. Simply the same!
I would like to say I am not superstitious!
I belive in God with me.
I would like to add that in my country, besides all susperstitions, people belive too much in saint'miracles. They hope good things will fall from the sky! They hope, hope and hope...

On Friday 13th, my behaviour isn't changed.It's an ordinary day .But in Romania people is superstitious on Tuesday 13th-the 3 badluck moments day.But I really don't care, if something is going to happen to you , there is no way to foresight it and do anything about it. So I'm not superstitious.

Hey to everyone! It's quite an interesting topic about superstitions, I think. Every culture has it's own superstitions that you will even never guess about :) In my country, for example, parents wear on their new-born baby's wrist a red thread in order to word off curse. But I don't believe this because I think that only a sincere prayer can save a baby from a bad eye. I can't say that I'm superstitious... but sometimes happens. To tell the truth I got married on Friday the 13th :) We decided to challenge that day and show that relations between the courple depended on their own only and not the day they were married on. The result is a good marriage for 4 years and a 3 year old daughter :) And I'm completely agree with Conchita as to the human's mind power.

In my neighbourhood even dogs wear red ribbons or plaits maid by their 'mothers'. :)

If you ask me, Are you superstitious? with surely, I answer, No... because according to my religion.. , number that very special is seventeen.. but it's not relation with sweet seventeen.. ha.ha...

Hello every one

I'm not superstitious, because I believe in sciences as I studied in secondary school. But some times I prefer to think as old persons, over all if I begin my day with bad incidents or accidents. In that case I feel that day perhaps become bad day and I must handle slowly and keeping my mind opened against every things.

I ask you to correct my mistakes if I have made any.

As for me, i am not supestitioius. Some people said that if you cross beneth the underpants of women, your luck will lose. Let's think about where we are born, yes, it is from the birth canal (vigina). So, if you think so, everyone will lose luck in this world.

If you are superstitious, you believe in luck or magical forces. This can either be good or bad -- it just depends on how you look at it.
