You've changed forgive and forget into adjectives and I agree: It does sound odd that way.
What about using the present perfect continuous instead, for example?

Hi Tom,

Interestingly enough, Amy, when I tried to turn my sentence into present perfect continuous, it turned out to be the same!
Tom
P.S. with the exception of very, of course! |
