I am translating my poem from VietNamese to English and I have a trouble with the verb :" Begin ". Can you tell me how to use this verb?

I just know that this verd is used with "to be" when it in the Continuous tense.

Could you give us more information, please? What exactly do you want to say? The verb begin can be used in various contexts: Let the show begin. Our next seminar begins on September 18, at 5 pm. The word begin begins with the letter b.

And I want to have a negative sentence

As a matter of fact "cold is not beginning from the wind."

Yeah, I know that but I mean when use begin in the simple tense we must use it with To Do :
Cold doesn't begin from the wind
