Equity is a state of justice. Ordinary shares (in a company) are equities, too.

As you know, equity is not the correct answer here, and equity has several different meanings. One of the meanings is ''freedom from bias or favoritism'', which is similar to 'equality' and 'fairness'.
Check your dictionary for the other meanings of equity.
Equanimity is the only correct answer here.
