Hi

"I am one of those people who wants to save the world but I'm too busy doing my eyebrows." ©
:) :)

I suppose do eyebrows is a fixed expression, but I’ve failed to find its exact definition. :(
My vague feeling is that it just means to raise (lift?) eyebrows to demonstrate dissatisfaction :) Or something like that.

Could you define it or give a 'trusted' link? :)

As far as I am aware, "doing my eyebrows" is not a fixed expression.
In that sentence it means I am one of those people who wants to save the world but I am too busy doing trivial unimportant things.

"doing my eyebrows" could be replaced by any number of other things such as doing my hair, doing my nails, having my legs waxed, having a massage, etc.

Not fixed phrase?
Hmm...

Perhaps, it was used in the direct sense, then.

Boy George, the author of the phrase, I quoted.

George Alan O'Dowd, born June 14, 1961, in Eltham, Kent, England, an English singer-songwriter…

Thanks.

Hi Tamara

Yes, in Boy George's case, I imagine that the doing of eyebrows includes some careful plucking and coloring and God-only-knows-what-else.
