Hello everyone, It is really a good idea for us to know each other, not only where our friends live in, but also to know the varied traditions of our friends' motherland. It will be very helpful for us not only pracise english funny, but aslo make our studies more vivacious. I would like to introduce myself and my country. I come from China. My hometown just near Beijing. There have no mountains, and no big rivers. But people who lives here says the Yellow River is our mother river. There have four seasons. In spring the weather is warm but windy. Summer is hot but not enough rain. Autumn is the best season i think.Because it is cool and the scenery is beautiful. In winter is uauslly cold sometimes it will snow, so when it snows all of the earth wears white clothes. I think is also beautiful. China is a developing country.China is now developing rapidly, people's living conditions have been greatly improved. Especially every of the young people have their dreams and willing to try their best to make it come true . For me, now i am working in Korea in a university. But what i want is to get my PHD.Then i will back to my motherland and to be a professor in a university. This is my dream aslo is my goal. I really like this forum, there are so many people who have the same dream---to be a good speaker in english. So let's try it together harder and more funny. Best wishes to everybody. |

Hi Torsten,
I am back. But I wonder that every time I write something here and then no one correct me. So that's why I don't know what I wrote right or wrong. Again, my problem is I can speak quite very well but my vocabulary is limited. I can speak fluently and quickly and listener believe that my english is very good, but I can't talk with them a long time because I will lose my tongue. And addtion, I can't hear well, there are many words I don't understand in our converation. So, please tell me, how can I improve my vocabulary as soon as possible.
Many thanks. P.S Another problem when I joined in this forum is that there are many people here come from many countries, their english is very strange and they don't write exactly like the natural speakers. Every time I read what they wrote I always wonder that it's true or false. Should I learn from their writting? |
