It's nice to see your face, Mba -- thanks for the picture!

1. Will you please bring me my notebook?

'Will' (not 'do') is used for requests -- to ask someone to do something. You can also use 'would', 'can' or 'could' (as you've done in your question).

2. It is a good idea to exercise every day.

It is a good idea + to infinitive: It's a good idea to carry a mobile. It's not a good idea to eat too many sweets.

Can we say here " It's good idea exercising every day " or, after the noun, there must be noun + to infinitiv

It is a good idea + to infinitive #6 (permalink) Fri Aug 15, 2008 13:47 pm   It is a good idea + to infinitive

Hi Marko,

"It's a good idea" is followed by "to infinitive" not by a gerund.

Torsten
