This was posted on another forum, but made me think a bit. Where is the world going? This may only be a show, but what on earth are today`s people thinking? I know what you are deeming of me - what is this lad talking about? Is he out of his mind? This might seem as a minor issue to you, but to me it speaks a lot. There are some FAR more valuable people who lived and live , whose labour and causes
have contributed so much more to the world. Is it just me or this is bothering, although it`s just a show?

Hi Dimitar, what exactly are you upset about? Is it the format of the Family Feud Show itself or just the fact that in that particular show the participants named certain people as the most important contributors to mankind? You said that there are 'far more valuable people' than the ones mentioned in the show. Whom do you have in mind?

I have the impression that this could turn into an interesting discussion...

I am disturbed by the fact that people actually think those people ( esp. Oprah) are MORE important and have given more to the mankind than Jesus Christ himself. This is outrageous and ridiculous. Infact, the inventors and discoverers, whose inventions and scientific breakthroughs, without which I can`t imagine today`s people lives, have ALL (Einstein, Newton, Edison and many, many more!) invaluably influenced the world`s direction. But not the mentioned people... I am a little perplexed about this because people are either stupid, or/and they don`t appreciate none of them and have no respect towards them. In my opinion, this is sad.

Hi,

Yes, you're absolutely right, I also feel sorrow to see such opinions on 'more important people'. I think the outlook and thoughts of people around the world are narrowed. There're so many persons that don't take such things seriously, most of them think only about themselves, entertainment, shows, and accept what they hear.
