'Twenty years' versus 'The twenty years'

Could you please tell me which one sounds better to you?

1- PAT Company celebrates the twenty years of its success.
2- PAT Company celebrates twenty years of its success.

Would you say that they are synonymous?

Hi Tom,

This is really a question again of being definite or indefinite. 'The' twenty years is referring by implication to specific dates ie from 1980 to 2000 for example. 'Tweny' years on its own is more general and logically should be followed by 'of success' and not of 'its' success, which is more specific.
