Hello! :D

My name is Konstantin, I live in Saratov, Russia. It's a city on Volga river with 1 million population, warm summer and snowy winter.
I am 20 years old. I am studying in the our University and I will be a robotics engineer. I am 195 cm and about 87 kilograms 8)
My interests are:
1) sport - cycling, swimming, ski.
2) programming - .Net, MATLAB.
3) metal music - Summoning is very cool.
I want to speak with interesting people, who live around the world and pass the TOEFL next summer///

Welcome to our forum and privet! It's very good to have somebody from Saratov aboard because you can tell us more about life in Russia.
Why did you decide to become a robotics engineer? Are you going to create such gizmos that can do all the housework and service drinks? Or maybe you want to design more serious machines?
As for hitch-hiking, I haven't tried it yet. Is this very popular around Saratov?

Hello Torsten, Medeya.
I have thought that robots is a future of engineering as a whole and want to stand on the front edge of the progress. I will create a Terminator :mrgreen: , but it will be very kind. A practiced hitch-hiking when I was on my journey, especially on the Black sea's bank (in Russia or in Ukraine) and it was very amusing.

Well, Konstantin what do you mean," Medeo" is a tyre? If so, in my country we don't have as mush snow as in Russia, so skating is almost impossible :( Why did you ask about Medeo? Because of my nick?

Russian is my native language.
There are a few people here who speak/understand Russian.

Medeo (at least, a skating rink :)) is in Kazachstan. I've been there… ages ago. When I was 7, I was taken by my parents to Ama-Ati (and then to Issyk Kul, the most famous Kazachstan’s mountain lake) for holiday and that summer month was/is one of the happiest and sunniest time in my childhood.

Actually, my nick is taken from Greek legend :) and Medeya was a daughter of Caucasis king,she had also magical

powers :). For asteks that were living in America before century the end of the world will come in 2012 year, so we

have little time to do good things, maybe something will change:)

Medeya, I remember this legend and it's terrible. I read that the spectators of Euripides' "Medea" couldn't applaud after this play :cry: . But I'm sure, you haven't anything common with her except the beauty :)
Sami, If you do that it will be great. When I and my friend were making a digital oscilloscope we took a signal from the sound card with Data Acquisition Toolbox. But the sound card can not pass the direct current and finally we made own ADC + amplifier board with RS-232 interface. The program unfortunately was written on the Assembler.

it's a very big and nice Country with dictatorial government..
they can't accept that Georgia is not Russia!!!
that's why they do very bad thing ,they're killing Georgians in Russia,they expell Georgians children from schools,even deport Georgian citizens from their Country,without any explanations!!!
but I hope most of Russian don't think the same way as Putin,We want or We don't We will have to live together with Russians,so I hope,some day We can become friends with them!!!

Hi Che, I'm glad you have tried to put things in perspective. You have to be careful when you say 'they' though. Also, making statements like 'they have a dictatorial government' might not get us very far.
