Something is going on but I don't know the reason of it. I can't enter the forum. I managed to enter through the test and luckily was moved to English Teachers Explanations then after some attempts went back to esl forum index. But in most cases when I click on any button appears the notification"critical error, could not connect to the database". What's the hitch? Maybe, that does only my laptop?

Hi Pamela

Hmmmm. I've had the same thing happen a couple of times. It was completely impossible to even load the forum and as I recall, I was unable to load any of the website. I think it's only happened to me twice (possibly 3 times), but both times were in the last couple of weeks and on the PC I always use. It hasn't been happening regularly to me, but only recently.

Maybe Slava will know more.

Hi Amy
The same inconvenience happened to me twice, too. If earlier I could enter the site but not the forum, today I was unable to enter neither the site nor the forum for a long while. In the end after endless attempts I managed to enter the forum in a roundabout way Smile But still the problem exists. Crying or Very sad

Yes, some server problem. Forum's database access.
But not that often, I think. In comparison with some other MySQL-based forums and hostings.

No, Amy and Pamela, it's not your PCs' problem.

No, Pamela, I’m not an expert at all. Just an experienced user. Smile

Hi Amy, Pamela and Tamara, you are right, we have to make some changes to our forum data base so it will always be available.
