Hi floratang
It's this week, on Thursday. The American holiday Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November. That usually means it's the last Thursday, but if there happen to be 5 Thursdays in Novemebr in a particular year, then Thanksgiving is the second to last Thursday -- as it is this year. :D

| Talking of Thanksgiving, do any of you say a prayer before and/or after meals? My parents normally do – though less and less people care for this tradition any more (I occasionally do it). |

Hi Conchita,
I suppose it depends on how religious you are. I would assume it is relatively rare to say such prayers in most Western families - but I could easily be wrong since my persepective is quite limited. What about people and Church in your country? How religious is the average Spaniard?

| As in most Western countries, religion in Spain is declining. People have become far less religious-minded and fewer and fewer, especially the young, go to church nowadays. |
