Toefl essay samples: Every generation of people is different in important ways

Every generation of people is different in important ways. How is your generation different from your parents’ generation? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

Every generation has something special and unique in their own way. To compare my generation with my parents’ one is different in many ways. First of all, I would like to mention the living. My parents have to work hard for everything they have achieved. I also have to say that the living in my country doesn’t offer so many opportunities as it is here, in the States. My parents’ generation worked more hours for less money to support their family, provide basic needs like clothes, food, education and property. Those were the main and most important reasons for good living. Today, we can afford to buy fast car maybe not even one, we live separately far away from each other and we take a vacation twice or more a year. Also, all of these doesn’t satisfy us and we fight for more and more. This generation has more advantages in technology, science researches, better fight illness, education, government and etc.
To conclude it, I think my generation has easier life from physical point of view but emotionally people are not as happy as they used to be few decades ago. My parents had their difficult part of life to get through but they don’t need a lot to enjoy the time. How much do we need?

My parents have to work hard for everything they have achieved. I also have to say that LIFE in my country doesn’t offer so many opportunities as THERE ARE here, in the States. My parents’ generation worked more hours for less money to support their family, provide basic needs like clothes, food, education and property. Those were the main and most important reasons for good living. Today, we can afford to buy fast car maybe not JUST one, we live separately far away from each other and we take a vacation twice or more a year. Also, all of thIS doesn’t satisfy us and we fight for more and more. This generation has more advantages in technology, science researches, better CONTROL OF illness, education, government and etc.
IN CONCLUSION I think my generation has AN easier life from THE physical point of view but emotionally people are not as happy as they used to be A few decades ago. My parents had their difficult part of life to get through but they DIDN'T need a lot to enjoy LIFE. How much do we need?
