TOEFL essay samples: Parents are the best teachers

Hi, I try to improve my writting. Last time I had many mistakes but now I believe that they will be less. Thank you again!

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Parents are the best teachers.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I’m agree with this statement because I think that the parents have authority to influence to the children. The first years of the childhood are very important for children. Freud believes that childhood form character of the adult.

I’m agree with Freud’s statement and I think that the childhood is a basis of the adult’s character. The parents create this basis and prepare the child for the later life. They are two different ways to influence between parents and children.

The first is education from parents to children. In this way the parents realize that with their actions they modify children’s mind. The parents do this consciously. The education of the parents give to the children basic knowledge and form children outlook. The education the parents prepare the children for school education. If the education of the parents miss in one child, it’s impossible for this child to be a good student.

Another way to influence between parents and children is passive way. This means that the parents don’t realizied their actions modify the children character. Factors which indirectly form children’s mind are relationships between parents and children, the bahavior and attitude from parents to children, family friends.. The parents may prohibite children to use some devices like TV, computers and radio because it’s possible the programs of devices to be dangerous for the children mind.

Problem of many parents is that they forget about the second way of influence. They build a bad family environment, use power to educate the children and wait their children to present them good results in the education.

The parents are best teachers. They draw outlines of children’s character. They teach children how to live and give them resources to live in social environment.
