"Common complaint in pregnancy: Backache - General discomfort across the back."

Does this "general" mean that the entire back would ache?

In my view, this refers the general (usual) discomfort found during preganancy not due to any specific disease as disk prolapse. It does not mean that enteire back ache

Hi apo

I'd say 'general' means that the pain is not in one specific location, but it also doesn't necessarily mean the entire back. I'd also interpret it to mean that the pain is not acute.
