I slept through a final exam once.
It was for Asian-American History. I'd stayed up all night, or tried to, then fell asleep probably around 5am. The final was around 9am. Of course, I slept until noon.
The professor happened to be a lawyer, so I called her at her office, made the most desperate plea of my life (well... in the academic world. fellas, you know what I'm talking about. hehe), and received succour in the form of a make-up exam date the next day.
Whew!
I about died when I woke up... I'll never forget it. _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

Hi Torsten, Sorry for my delay but I don?t have a time for the net. I am learning your tests (vocabulary and grammar). My head has a "little gate" for receiving a lot of new informations. Do you have any realy good method for learning vocabulary? PS: Thank you for your information about listening tests. I?m going to practise it... Best regards. Michal |

Hi The best advice I can give it to you is to read a lot. Read anything in english..., newspapers, books, magazines, sites from net, just anything. Make flashcards for any new words and don't forget to write it in a sentence. Try to use new words in a conversation. That helped me a lot. Take care Michal. |

My TOEFL IBT test is over. Thanks for all your help. I tried to get a good night sleep a night before the test. But trust me, it wasn't easy to fall asleep.I was so nervous. Reading section was the worst part for me. Long articles, too much information and not enough time. If you are preparing for TOEFL IBT don't start reading the article right away. Just get straight to questions. It save you a lot of time. That was my mistake because every last 3 questions in 4 articles I was guessing the answer. And last question in each of the article is worth more than one point. So be careful there. Afterwards was listening. And then we had 10 minutes break. You need all your concentration for the test, so make sure you have enough rest the day before the test because it is a long exam. Then was speaking section and finally writing. First in writing task was to read a small article and listen to a lecture from biology field. Another task was to write who would I choose to have a friend, someone who is intelligent or has a good sense of humor. I am confident about the writing test but worried about my reading test. I hope I could get enough score to apply to the college in the states.
Hopefully, I did help with some info.

Actually, it is hard to get rest if you can't take test off your mind.
