So, as for the SAT, if you get an 800 in math you're still just in the top 94% or so because of the high percentage of perfect scores (in a sense the test is "too easy.") What I want to know is, how did I get an 800 when I got five questions wrong? (according to the basic GRE services on the ETS website.)
I think the answer is that the new computer tests are more precise. However, this raises a question: if the new computer tests are so much better that you can get an 800 with five wrong because the test adapted and gave you harder questions, why do they still give the 800 percentile rank as 94%? Can anybody else confirm this with similar numbers? |
