Hi

I would like to know how far Switzerland is from Germany. Would two clocks strike the same time in the two countries?

Yes Tom, Switzerland and Germany are in the same time zone. Why are you asking?

.
Southwestern Germany shares a border with Switzerland, Tom. It only takes me about an hour and a half to drive to Zurich.

Speaking of time zones...

Aren't a lot of great watches (err, don't listen to the loud American -- they're called "time pieces") made in Zurich?

That reminds me of a tongue-twister:

Three witches watch three Swatch watches.
Which witch watches which Swatch watch?

For our more advanced forum members:

Three switched witches watch three Swatch watch switches.
Which switched witch watches which Swatch watch switch
?

Cool

Yeah, I think every American youth bought at least one Swatch watch in the late 1980s. I know I had at least one. They had some neat colors/patterns (or whatever; I'm no designer) -- aimed (seemingly) directly at kids/teens/young adults.
