Could you answer my question:

Usually I am late for lectures, office etc - everyday routine... but if there is some extra appointment - you may be sure I'm there in time.

Also there is the other weird thing I like - while in the university I rather often (i'd say with an extraordinary regularity) happened to enter the building when the enormous clock hanging above the entrance showed either 10:10 or 11:11... I knew that that would be an excellent day Wink

Did something like that ever happen to you?

Hi!

It depends on the occasion! I mean how important a date for me is or how punctual for instance my counterpart is. It also may be a strategy to be late. Having a date with a girl I want to know is long ago since I?m married and am faithful to my wife but I think I remember being punctual at every date I had formerly.

there is no right nor wrong in this, nor any intent to show one way as better than another:

My sister and I were flabbergasted at the approach to punctuality while we were in Italy.

We stayed with friends of our family, and the following is an example of how time/scheduling was dealt with:

Noon -- Plans are made to go out to dinner at 6pm

5:40ish pm -- Sister and I are ready to go (dressed, teeth brushed, hair combed/brushed, etc.)

5:55 pm -- Sis and I ask, "Giulio, let us know when it's time to go." The answer is, "We'll leave in a little while."

About 40 minutes later, we finally leave.

I mean it isn't like we had to leave at exactly 6pm, but if I say I'm leaving at 6:00, it generally means i'm leaving at or within about five minutes of 6pm, ten at the most. I am especially punctilious when my plans affect the plans of others: if somebody is waiting for me, I'm moving my @ss.

It must be our Germanic (and English) blood. That, or the US penchant for being on time. (likely the latter -- a cultural thing)

When I was single I was extremely punctual, but since I'm married and I have little kids I can't.
I try but sometimes when I'm about to leave,my little daughter needs a change of diaper,or she throws her milk or something unpredictable happens .....buuuuu Mr. Green
