GRE® extending date

hello

If i extend my date from 26 dec 2006 to 11 -jan-2007.Will i be late for applying in most of the universities for fall session. I want to do M.S. in computer science.

And if i'm not late ,so what should be my strategy to get more than 1200, as i'm getting only around 1000 in my test(680 in quant., 320 verbal).

You need to check with each school to find out when their application period ends.

As for how to improve your test scores, it looks like your Math is fine and that the Verbal is what's holding you up. To improve your verbal score, do the following things:

1) Read a lot of English prose -- books, short stories, essays, magazine articles, etc.

2) Take the tests in here, on this web site. Take them until you've mastered them. Ask questions if you do not understand an answer on a test.

3) Work on crossword puzzles. This is a great way to enhance your English vocabulary. You can find crossword puzzles in newspapers. There are also crossword puzzle books that you can buy at a book store or in any airport general shop.

4) Speak to people in English, if possible. The written word is a bit different from the spoken word, but any contact you have with English will help.

5) When you don't understand a word, look it up in a dictionary. Simply search for "dictionary" in your search engine and you'll be shown several sites that are free. When you learn what the word means, write the word and a brief definition on a card or type it in a Word document... at the end of the day, print the document (with all the words and definitions) and read/study it a bit, to make sure that you've absorbed the information and will remember it on a test.
